LU (participant 7) is responsible for NBAC. NBAC is a consortium of scientists and clinicians from Sweden, Finland and Iceland with a research focus on genetics and tumour biology in breast cancer, taking advantage of homogeneous population-based materials, large archives of tumours, genealogy and cancer registry surveys. NBAC currently includes three partners that merge resources of welldocumented tumour-blood samples for molecular profiling. In a first phase, global genomic and gene expression analysis has been completed in >700 tumours, including hereditary (BRCA1/2), familial and non-familial cases.
